LADY LOIS

The LADY LOIS was built in 1928 by Nashville Bridge Company. She has a GM6-110 diesel engine rated at 220 hp. The Inland River Record records her as being 100' X 20', but from the measurements I took showed her to be 90' 6" from bow to monkey rudders. Her original name was CATHERINE D. Currently, as of 1995, she is owned by Merdie Boggs & Sons Inc. In 1982 she was leased to Warner Brothers for filming the TV series "Mississippi". In 1982 she was renamed JOHN W. STONE; in 1983 she was renamed MISSISSIPPI for film purposes only. As of 1996 Lady lois is now owned by Madison Coal & Supply Co., Charleston, WV
