Bow Bumper


Slice off an inch of a foam swim noodle. The kids won't miss it.	Slice out a narrow wedge as shown.	Take that Dremel tool you got last Christmas and use a grinding wheel to grind a slot on the inside, the height of your deck flange. Make it a little deeper at the center.

Make a shallow cut on either side.	Loop a rubber band through the bow front screw eye (chainplate).	Slip on the bumper. It should fit snug.


Wrap the rubber band around the bumper to engage the side slots. Now that you have the basic design, you can cut another slice and make the next one more attractive. A touch of glue on the bumper at the rubber band slot will prevent loss during a collision. Leave some swim noodle for the kids.
