Rob's Tow-Boat

Rob's tugboat.

At first glance, it looks like any other tugboat...

Rob made his with a rather long skeg. He modified the Vac-U-Tug to have towing capabilities and put the boat to work at the Odom Atlanta sail club placing course markers. (see the LINKS page).

(I have skeg-envy.)

He pulls a mark with chain and sinker attached to a line, out at least 50 yards.

He installed a 7-cell 8.4 volt battery for 20% more  horsepower to overcome brisk headwinds.

Once in the right place, he pulled the mark off the body board and it was set. A simple and very easy operation!

It is great to see a Vac-U-Tug actually working for a living. Great job Rob!
