August 2003 Meeting Photos:

It has been so HOT during the day in August, we had a Night Float to stay cool. Dave & Marie hosted the supper with their son Paul as the Chef.  Several other dishes appeared as well. Everything tasted wonderful and was greatly appreciated. The pavilion emptied out when we arrived. Good thing too, because once we moved in, so did a rain shower or two. A good time was had by all (as best as I could tell). Although Paul kept jumping around while I was counting, the total count was fifty folks on hand including a few new visitors.

Nice spread. Thanks to everyone who contributed to the evening! Paul, David, and Ray hanging at the grille. The pavilion came in handy later.

Can't wait to grow up and play with a boat! Paul was cheerful. I don't have a clue what they were talking about. Almost got a photo of a boat in the water. I was paying too much attention to the crowd.

We warned Matt about transmitters and storms. Fortunately, he keeps his feathers numbered for just such an occasion... Brave little sail boat in stormy waters. Belongs to Ken's grandson _____? We were having such a good time that I forgot to take any boat pictures! Matt's cannon he just made. He fired it a couple of times. Fortunately, no one was hurt...

A few shots under the pavilion. Yet another Paul. I would include last names but we are not sure if the government is monitoring this site.  We had almost as many different conversations going as we had people to converse. Had a nice shower during dessert. Great storm over Snellville in the distance. Spectacular lightning.  Fortunately, it did not get too close.

At one point it was raining so hard that even the ducks got out of the lake! Discussing why a fast electric was not as fast as it should have been. Ben, Mo, & Andrew kicking back. It is not your eyes. The photo is blurry. Andrew's fault.
