April 2003 Meeting Photos:

Beautiful sunny day. Lots of regulars and visitors. Ray, Andrew, Douglas, Matt, Rick, Dean, Phil, David, Paul P. & Paul W., Dave W., John, and Chris plus a few understanding spouses, several children, and one happy grandbaby attended. All floatable boats went to the water for photos.

And this wasn't everything! Rick's Wavemaster was in great form. No motor fires this trip! Dave's Wet 'N Wild had a couple of babes driving it.

Paul's tug's first visit. Now we have two squirtables. Dave's woodworking is quality. (Still under construction.) Dean brought lots of speed to this gathering.

Another new boat, Doug's scratch-built rescue boat drops a net onto stranded air-boats. Has lights, siren, etc.. Ray's got a new motor. Seemed quiet and well mannered. Dean's boat was in labor but unfortunately, today was not the day. It even had its own little transmitter! (We kid, we joke...)

The US or CSS Tennessee I think. Under construction. Midwest Steam Launch finished transmission! The transmission worked but the boat runs so creaping slow that I'll pull it out and hook up in direct drive like the kit intended. Maybe next time... I think we had five Victorias and Fairwinds sailing this afternoon.

Solar Powered Boat! Initial test of a solar panel on a stock Vac-U-Tug Jr.  was successful. No batteries! The panel ran the Receiver, ESC, and Motor pretty well.  As you can see, Chris has a sewing machine now. Rigging is coming along. Speaking of babes... Note the sailor cap.
